Implementing LocalMed real-time scheduling on your Facebook page
When you join LocalMed, the possibilities for implementing real-time online scheduling across all of your practice marketing efforts are truly endless. You’ll be able to close the loop on your dental marketing funnel and grow your practice, effortlessly.
Following the installation of LocalMed at your practice, our team generates several different widgets for your practice automatically: one for your website, one for Google My Business (Google Search) and one for Facebook.
Once installed, the LocalMed widget will allow patients who find you on Facebook to schedule a fully-booked appointment right from your practice page. They can do this through a Call-to-Action (CTA) button located underneath your cover photo, or a “Schedule Now” tab. You can even run a Facebook ad with your LocalMed widget as the CTA button!
The “Book Now” Button
Follow Facebook’s instructions for editing your CTA button. It should go something like this:
Navigate to your practice’s Facebook page (make sure you have admin access), click your current CTA button, then select “Edit Button” from the drop-down menu.
From there, select the “Book Now” button option under “Book Services”. When prompted to select a booking tool, select the “Link to Website” option.
In the URL field, simply copy and paste the widget link from your LocalMed email, save and voilà!
The Scheduling Tab
Enabling the LocalMed scheduling tab is as easy as a few clicks!
(Please note: If you have less than 2,000 followers, unfortunately, Facebook will not allow you to install this (or any other) third-party tab due to changes in their API. Sorry about that!)
In the widget installation email you receive from our (awesome) customer support team, click on the first link under the “Facebook” section. It will open up a Facebook page that looks like this:
All you need to do is select your practice’s website from the drop-down menu, then click “Add Page Tab”.
Auto-magically, a page tab called “Schedule Appointment” will appear on your Facebook page.
Bonus Points: Facebook Ads
Before you place your Facebook ad, email our customer support team (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the name of your campaign, and they’ll happily generate a custom widget code for your ad so you can track exactly how many appointments originate from that campaign.
Once you have the code, choose the “Book Now” button for your ad and place the newly-generated widget link as the destination.
