It’s been an exciting year at LocalMed.
Our goal has always been simple: improve the healthcare experience and make it easy for patients and providers to connect.
This year more than any other, we are seeing our vision catch on. Dentists are understanding that they can improve their marketing, and ultimately their bottom line, simply by providing a convenient way to for patients to schedule appointments 24/7.
2017 in Review
Our development team has been tirelessly working to upgrade and add new features to LocalMed Connect, our core scheduling product. Here’s a few of the things we did in 2017:
- The ability to enable scheduling directly from Google
- High-value partnership with Six Month Smiles
- Reviews product that enhances your online scheduling
- More practice management system integrations
- International compatibility - we’re now live in Canada, Australia, and Jamaica!
CORE PRODUCT UPGRADES:
- Enhanced duplicate-checking
- Better source tracking analytics
- Increased call center functionality
- Updated widget functionality
This year by the numbers:

- ✉️ 262,614 messages sent through Slack
- 🏓 2834 games of ping pong played (approximately)
- 👍 52 consultants recommending LocalMed
- 🇺🇸 48 states represented (North and South Dakota, we’re waiting on you!)
- ✅ 17 total LocalMed employees
- 🌎 3 countries added
- 🏢 2 offices - (Baton Rouge, LA and Schaumburg, IL)
